Multitouch Barcelona recently moved to Citilab an open workspace dedicated to activating, stimulating, and expanding creative and innovative capacity in citizens, entrepreneurs’ technology and companies of the Knowledge Society.
We couldn’t expect nothing better: great staff members, an open workspace and street people playing with technology every day.

Natural paint is a multitouch canvas where things just happen as expected. A free-interface environment where fingers and brushes do their job and erasing it’s just as simple as wiping the screen with a sponge or your own body.
Natural Paint will be extended in the future with some new features.
Multitouch Space Invaders searches a new way to interact besides the classical multitouch applications that we’re familiarized to. We wanted to change the vision of typical finger based application to another concept that increases the collaboration with other users. Using balls as inputs versus fingers, the players could play in a totally collaborative environment.
Multitouch Barcelona team is proud to anounce an invitation to speak at SHIFT ‘08. We’d like to thank Pedro Sousa and SHIFT Team for their interest and support.

Two weeks ago, we made some multitouch wall tests. The first one, without image projection, just in infrared video mode to see the blob detection.
This one shows all the setup finished, running the smoke demo application (by WhiteNoise). We hope you’ll like it. Within a few days we will refresh our blog with videos showing the final applications.
After some problems, everything is working as expected. Projection screens are ready and our central multitouch screen is finger+ball sensitive. We still have some hard work coming up but we’ve got the feeling that everything is gonna be great : )
We’d like to thank Jordi Armengol for his spectacular support!!
