We’re aware that a number of Residents are currently affected by international network routing issues which are keeping them from logging in to Second Life.

The problem appears to be decentralized and not with the Second Life servers, facilities or networking, appearing most frequently on connections in and around Europe, particularly The Netherlands. While we are monitoring the issues, we’re unable to assist with correcting the problem.

If we do get some useful news, we’ll update you here.

[POSTED 4:10pm PDT]  We had an outage this afternoon that affected search on the marketplace.  At this time, we are working on rebuilding the index and it should be fixed shortly.  Please monitor this blog for any new updates.

[POSTED 8:00am PDT]  From 11:00pm until 1:00am Thursday, July 15th, we will be performing routine maintenance on our public JIRA and Wiki sites.  During this time, please refrain from posting any new JIRA issues or Wiki articles, as they may not be saved.  Please monitor this blog for any new updates.

[RESOLVED 12:29pm PDT]  At this time, all functions of Second Life are working as intended.  Residents should now be able to log in, TP, use voice and conduct L$ transactions as normal.

[POSTED 11:06am PDT]  Some residents may be experiencing issues attempting to log into Second Life, as well as issues with TP’s and spotty voice in some locations.  We are aware of these issues and working to resolve them as quickly as possible.  During this time, residents may want to hold off on rezzing or transferring any no-copy objects, as well as holding off on any L$ transactions.  Please monitor this status blog for any new updates.

[RESOLVED July 14th 2010 07:06am] The inventory maintenance has completed

[POSTED July 12th 2010] There will be planned inventory database maintenance for Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 beginning at 5:30am PDT. The maintenance should last approximately 90 minutes. During this time some residents may be logged off and will not be able to log back in until the work is complete.

[RESOLVED July 9th 12:30pm PST]  The maintenance has been completed.

[UPDATE July 8th 12:11pm PST]  The maintenance on the auction site has not yet completed and is still ongoing.  We hope to offer new listings by Friday, July 9th at 12:00pm PST.  Continue to monitor this status blog for any new updates.

[1pm Pacific, June 27 2010] As previously blogged here, the auction site is now down for maintenance. Auctions will be unavailable from today through to July 6 as we make changes and perform internal testing.

[RESOLVED]  Secondlife.com is again available for all residents.  Residents will also now be able to perform credit card transactions as well.

[POSTED 9:47am PDT]  Some residents may find that secondlife.com is currently unavailable.  During this time, residents that are able to access the website should refrain from making any credit card transactions.  We are working to bring the website back up quickly.

[12:45pm PDT] RESOLVED - The issues have been resolved and registrations, the land store and the lindex are available once again.

[12:15pm PDT] UPDATE - The land store, new account registration and the lindex have been disabled while we work to resolve this issue.

[Noon PDT, July 6 2010] Registration and login issues - we’re currently experiencing an issue with registrations, and some residents may experience difficulty in logging in. We’re investigating and will post here when we have more information.

We are currently investigating issues with purchasing of voice-morphing packs.  The Voice islands are down while we resolve this issue.  This issue should only affect Residents using the newest beta viewer who purchase voice morphing.
